Odyssey of the Seas

The second Quantum Ultra — a clever, all-weather ship with a warm-water deployment.

Odyssey of the Seas took everything that worked on Spectrum, refined the suite areas and added Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade. Unlike her Quantum sisters, she sails warm water year-round — Eastern Mediterranean from Rome and Athens in summer, Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale in winter — which makes her one of the most flexible ships to plan around.

Onboard

Standout features, at a glance.

A high-level look. We'll go deeper on any of these — including the shows worth pre-booking — when we speak.

North Star

The glass observation capsule that lifts you 300 ft above the sea — remarkable over Santorini, Mykonos or the Caribbean approach.

Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade

The Quantum Ultra addition — big screens, wings, arcade classics. The go-to on Champions League nights and NFL Sundays.

Two70

The wraparound-glass lounge by day, RoboScreen theatre by night. Still one of the best venues at sea.

SeaPlex & Bumper Cars

The largest indoor activity space at sea — bumper cars, roller skating, basketball. Weather-proof, kid-proof, sea-day-proof.

Dining variety

Complimentary Main Dining Room, Windjammer, El Loco Fresh, Café Promenade, Solarium Bistro and The Café @ Two70. Speciality: Chops Grille, Giovanni's, Izumi, Wonderland, Teppanyaki, Chef's Table.

Solarium & pools

Adults-only glass-roofed Solarium plus outdoor main pool — designed to work in both a warm Med sea day and a breezy Atlantic crossing.

Cabins & where to book

Not all balconies are equal.

Odyssey's Eastern Med itineraries are port-heavy — you want a balcony, and you want it on the right side for scenic sail-ins to Santorini and Kotor. Her Caribbean season is more sea-day driven, where mid-ship stability matters most.

We'll steer you clear of the obstructed views, the cabins under the pool deck and the noisy connecting doors — and towards the ones that quietly go for the same money.

Best value

Mid-ship balcony, Deck 10

One deck below the Windjammer, close to the lifts, steady in swell. The cabin repeat Quantum-class cruisers rebook.

Family sweet spot

Ocean View or Balcony connecting cabins, Deck 8

Two standard cabins joined by an interior door — far cheaper than a family suite, and better for teens who want their own space.

Splurge

Grand Suite, Deck 10 or 12

Full Suite Class privileges — Coastal Kitchen, Suite Lounge, priority tender for the Greek Isles — without going all the way to an Owner's Suite.

Avoid

Deck 3 & 4 outside cabins

Lifeboat views on parts of both decks. Cheap for a reason — we'll flag exactly which cabin numbers are affected before you commit.

Summer

Eastern Mediterranean (Rome & Athens)

7-night runs to Santorini, Mykonos, Ephesus (Kuşadası), Rhodes and Crete. Alternating Rome and Athens turnarounds — easy to combine with a stay.

Winter

Caribbean (Fort Lauderdale)

6- and 8-night sailings to Perfect Day at CocoCay, the Eastern and Western Caribbean — St Maarten, St Thomas, Puerto Rico, Cozumel.

Shoulder

Transatlantic repositioning

A 12-night Atlantic crossing between the Med and Florida each spring and autumn — a proper sea-day experience for classic-cruise fans.
