Voyager Class

The ships that defined modern Royal Caribbean — and still take you almost anywhere in the world.

Voyager-class ships were the world's largest when they launched — the first cruise ships with an interior Royal Promenade, an ice rink and a rock climbing wall. Two decades on, all five have been amplified. Together they sail more of the world's ports than any other RC class.

What defines this class

The Voyager experience, in plain English.

Size

Approximately 138,000–140,000 GT, 3,100–4,000 guests. Comfortably big without being overwhelming — a proper resort ship.

Style

Original Royal Caribbean DNA, refreshed. Royal Promenade, Studio B ice rink, rock wall, mini-golf — all the classic signatures.

Suits

Value-conscious families, first-time cruisers, world travellers wanting warm-weather itineraries in unusual ports, and repeat RC guests who love the classic feel.

Standout features

What sets these ships apart.

A high-level look — we'll happily go deeper on any of these when we speak.

The Royal Promenade

The original interior 'street' with shops, pubs and cafés on either side. Parades and parties happen here — a proper Royal Caribbean moment.

Waterslide additions

Most Voyager-class amplifications added the Perfect Storm slides plus refreshed pool decks — proper family water features.

Studio B ice rink

A working ice rink with resident skating shows — one of the most memorable at-sea experiences, especially with kids.

Speciality dining refreshed

Post-amplification, most ships have Izumi, Chops Grille, Giovanni's Table and Playmakers — a proper choice at every price point.

Unusual itineraries

Voyager-class ships often reach ports the bigger classes can't — Japan, Australia, the Middle East, smaller Caribbean islands.

World-fleet workhorses

You'll find a Voyager-class ship almost anywhere Royal Caribbean sails — brilliant if you're building a cruise around a specific region.

Sister ships, considered choices.

Same class, but the newer ships add features and refine layouts. We'll help you weigh year, refit and itinerary together.

Who this class is best for

Is this the right ship for you?

Honest note: If you want the newest venues or the biggest waterparks, look at Icon or Oasis — Voyager is about breadth of destinations, not cutting-edge features.

  • Cruisers building a holiday around a specific region — Voyager-class reaches almost everywhere.
  • First-time cruisers wanting classic Royal Caribbean at a friendlier price point.
  • Families who value a proper choice of activities without Oasis-scale queues.
  • Short-cruise travellers (Mariner from Port Canaveral).
  • Repeat RC guests who still love the original Royal Promenade feel.
