Infinity carries around 2,100 guests, which puts her at roughly half the size of a modern flagship, and she spends her year on the itineraries that reward exactly that: South America and the Panama Canal, scenic southern-hemisphere sailing, and unhurried Mediterranean seasons. She came through the Celebrity Revolution programme with restyled staterooms, refreshed public rooms and an expanded Retreat, so the interiors read far newer than her build year suggests.

Revolution refresh
New bedding and bathrooms, restyled lounges, refreshed speciality dining and a reworked Retreat sundeck. Inside, she doesn't feel like a 2001 ship.
The Retreat

Dining without the queue
The two-deck main restaurant with the aft windows, plus Tuscan Grille, Sushi on Five and the Rooftop Garden Grill. Fewer guests means the table you asked for is usually still free.
The glass-roofed Solarium
Adults-only, covered pool and hot tubs. On a cool Cape Horn morning or a breezy Atlantic crossing it becomes the most-used room on board.

Cabins & where to book
Not all balconies are equal.
Infinity has a lower veranda ratio than the newer Celebrity ships, so balcony grades sell out early on the long voyages and the better ocean-view cabins genuinely earn their keep. On scenic-cruising itineraries the aft Sunset verandas are the ones guests request by name.
We'll steer you clear of the obstructed views, the cabins under the pool deck and the noisy connecting doors — and towards the ones that quietly go for the same money.

The steadiest part of the ship on longer open-water stretches, short walks everywhere, priority embarkation and a few sensible extras.

Deep terraces and wake views — made for slow departures and scenic days. There are very few of them, so ask early.
