Celebrity River Cruises explained — the Rhine & Danube launch.

Celebrity — one of the three ocean brands we specialise in — is bringing its style, food and service to river cruising. Inaugural sailings depart in August 2027, and the itineraries are booking now.

What's confirmed Celebrity River Cruises will sail the Rhine and Danube on purpose-built ships, all-inclusive from day one: dining, drinks, tips and shore excursions included in the fare. Expect the same design language as the Edge-series ocean fleet, at river scale — around a hundred-and-fifty guests rather than the usual mainstream three thousand.

Why it's a big deal for us River cruising has traditionally been a referral for Valora — we'd send clients to a trusted partner if a river line suited them better than an ocean sailing. Celebrity River changes that. Because it's a Royal Caribbean Group brand, we book it directly. Same named specialist, same aftercare, no middle-man.

Who it's likely to suit If you already love Celebrity at sea and are curious about Europe by river — the wine regions, the Christmas markets, the smaller towns — this is probably the launch you've been waiting for. It also opens river cruising up to guests who found the traditional operators a little quiet or dated.

Availability Inaugural sailings are on sale now and the best cabins on the maiden voyages are already tight. If you'd like us to hold options while you decide, register your interest and we'll be in touch personally — no obligation, no automated funnel.
